Simple rules for low-pressure gatherings

CommonHour keeps scope narrow: adults, public places, small groups, and manual approval.

Public places only

Circles meet in cafes, parks, libraries, and other public areas. Private homes are not allowed.

Small groups

New hosts are capped at 8 seats so gatherings stay manageable and people can actually talk.

No dating

CommonHour is for platonic social circles. Romantic, sexual, and dating events are not allowed.

Adults only

CommonHour circles are for adults. Minors are not supported.

Manual approval

Hosts and circles are reviewed before they go live. New hosts have low limits while trust is established.

Report and refund process

Attendees can reply to their confirmation email to report issues or request help with a refund review.

No platform payments yet

CommonHour is validating demand before processing payments. Early pilots are paid directly to the host.

No restricted support groups

Therapy, medical, and mental health support groups are not supported by CommonHour.
